5 things to consider
when buying RV furniture
The dimensions of
your recreational vehicle (RV) shouldn’t be the limit on your
imagination. The furniture you buy can solely depend on your
inclinations and budget – just plan carefully.
Do you want bedroom furniture? There
are trundle beds, bunk beds, platform beds or captain/storage beds.
Or you want futons, night stands, chests, dressers, armoires, or
bookcases.
Or are you looking to buy office furniture? You can find RV
furniture like executive desks, hutches, computer desk, computer
carts, file cabinets/multimedia files, bookcases, and office chairs.
what you want to buy islimited only by your imagination and pockets.
However, here are some pointers to consider as you shopping for RV
furniture.
1. Consider the dimensions of room and where you plan to place the
new piece of furniture. Also, are you keeping the existing color
composition or redecorating?
2. Consider how the internal door swings open and be sure you’ve
allowed for its swing.
3. Note placement of the following: windowsills, curtains, window
unit air conditioners, electrical outlets, phone jacks, switches and
thermostats.
4. Measure any radiators and floor or wall air vents.
5. If you are going to install office furniture, consider how the
furniture will work together with the computer equipment, e.g. that
the printer is close by. If it’s the entertainment equipment,
consider the placement and effect of a new piece of furniture when
placing it with the lamps, etc.
A final word, if this your first time to buy RV furniture, it would
be wiser to bring your concerns to the furniture shop which
specializes in RV furniture. They are familiar with such concerns.
These professionals may be able to guide you in making floor plans
that maximizes the flow and placement of the furniture and help you
with your room design......
